Large original Mid-Century era signed serigraph by Northwest artist Elton Bennett titled “The Valley of Time” featuring a group of people with pack mules surveying the canyon below. Titled “The Valley of Time.”  Signed in pencil lower left, and in the plate lower right. Unframed. Image 16 ¼” x 22 5/8.” Paper 19” x 25.” See condition statement. Note: the piece will be shipped flat to protect the integrity of the raised surface of a serigraph.

A prolific and well known Mid-Century serigraph artist, Bennett’s work depicts the Pacific Northwest coastal environment and scenes of the working lives of the people he knew and worked with. Fishing, ships, seascapes, and forested landscapes all feature prominently in his works.

Item Condition
Good overall vintage condition; colors are clear and unfaded and there are no tears. There is a darkened area lower left corner (not in the image area), some pin holes around the perimeter, and some light creasing in areas, including some very light pigment loss as seen in detail photos.
