Louise (Lou) Wilson (1927-1983), WA. Mid-Century era oil painting on canvas board depicting a lone figure on a dock with a Seattle cityscape in the background. Signed lower right. Matted with fabric matting and placed in a thin wood angled frame. Sight 9 7/5” x 7 7/5.” Frame 15” x 12.”

Lou Wilson was a prolific Mid-Century era artist who worked in a wide range of mediums including oil, watercolor, pastels, screen printing, collage, and batik. Her work was shown throughout the greater Seattle area including the Seattle Art Museum, the Frye Museum, the Henry Gallery, and the Museum of History & Industry. Her son is the actor Richard Karn of “Home Improvement” and “Family Feud” fame.
