This is a unique and rare antique platinum ring marked "10% IRID PLAT" which means that the piece is 90% platinum and 10% iridium. Iridium is the best alloying agent for platinum, producing the hardest, whitest, heaviest and most expensive kind of platinum. The Art Deco style/era ring is set with a large, flat oval shaped opal that has a significant crack down the middle--please read condition report. 7.5g. Size 8. See photos and condition.

The opal has a significant crack down the middle as seen in the front and back photos. There is also a chip along the backside crack as also seen. Lighter antique scraping/wear to platinum band. See photos.
