Rie Munoz (1921 – 2015), CA/AK. Large, limited edition signed print entitled "Going Berry Picking, Hoohah." Pencil signed Rie Munoz - 80 lower right. Titled lower left. Limited edition 315/500 lower center. Image size 10 1/8" x 13 7/8." Matboard 16 1/8" x 20." Double matted. Unframed. See photos.

Although she was born and raised in California, Munoz traveled to Alaska in 1951, fell in love with Juneau, and it is said she gave herself until the boat left the next day to find a job and a place to live. Apparently did just that, as Munoz lived the rest of her life in Alaska. She traveled extensively throughout the land and her watercolors depict the small communities and native customs and traditions that she encountered. Munoz’s work is highly recognized; she has been represented throughout the US and Canada and has received numerous awards for her work.

Item Condition
Very good overall condition, no defects noted. There is some darkening to the matboard, and may be some slight darkening to the print due to its age. There is a small cut on the exterior of the matboard. See photos.
