Dramatic art photograph featuring a small boat next to a larger boat in vivid colors by nautical photographer John Peer. Signed on the mat board lower right and titled "Protected" lower left. Photo is adhered to back mat board and over matted. Artist bio on the back as seen. Sight 7" x 5." Mat board 14" x 11."

Peer lived throughout the West Coast, but as he stated in biography, it was in Dana Point, CA where marina and maritime subjects became the focus of his photography work. He went on to live in Port Townsend, WA, another boating destination, for many years. He represents his maritime subjects in a very graphic and yet subtly poetic manner. Peer’s work was commissioned by resorts and maritime oriented organizations and businesses throughout the West Coast area.

Overall good condition. There is slightest evidence of wear on the back mat board, including a small dent on lower right mat board that does not show with the over matting. See photos and description.
