Unique postmodern/contemporary mixed media art piece utilizing encaustic (wax) techniques with photography that has been placed in a wood and metal structure. Theme is anthropomorphic melding of humans with butterflies and a duplicated image of a woman encircled by a snake. The piece is artist signed "Kris Wold" on the back. Outer edges of frame measures 15 1/2" x 7.25." Piece weighs 5lb 1oz. See photos and condition.

Item Condition
Piece is in very good overall shape with no defects noted. There is a drip on the front (as seen in photo) that is likely native to the piece/wax process. Some marking to the metal that is also likely native to the piece. Note that the process used, wax applied over photography, lends itself to a hazy/soft overall appearance.
