Dramatic Pierre Cardin (attrib.) iconic Modernist style collar necklace c. late 20th Century featuring a heavy segmented abstract design goldtone pendant with rhinestone detailing attached to a hinged goldtone collar necklace. Placed in a velvet box marked “Creation Pierre Cardin Paris.” Necklace is unmarked and is attributed to Pierre Cardin. See condition details. Total length 9.75.” Pendant 4.75.” Interior of collar 4.375” long x 4” wide. Weight of necklace 7oz. Total weight with box 1lb 1oz.

Item Condition
Necklace is not signed. It has been repaired in the area where the pendant is attached to the collar base. There is some discoloration in that area that is more evident on the back. The insert to the clasp on the collar has some hash marks, and there may have also been a repair in this area. There is some notable loss from the goldtone plating on the hinged area of the right side of the piece as seen, and some lighter areas of goldtone wear. See photos.
